Possible project
I have been thinking of picking up a older salvage bagger as a project bike. As I was looking I came across a 1997 road king police basket case. I say basket case because it has a blown motor. Is there anyplace to find out if this was a in service police bike? Also what is something like this worth as it sits. I have not talked price with the person and it's not for sale to the public basically a private deal for me. I like being as educated as I can. This will be my first Harley but 4th bike. Thanks for the help.

based on the pictures, id say it worth 750 to 1250, if you get the entire engine and saddle bags.

One of them deals where it is old enough to not be worth much and will a while before it might be cool. Newer evo but still a few generations removed. Just depends what ya want for a project/ride.
