Shocked while touching rear spark plug wires??

Crank it up after dark to see if you can see the leak in the insulation.

I would think there was a better way of testing the wires, If you are not sure just replace.

Wires today are way better than in the 60's. I have been bit several times years ago. A shop teacher I had would show us how tough he was by grabbing a handful of wires he knew were bad on an old Chevy and taking a hit. It's a stabbing pain touching a bad wire.

They are leaking, replace them and plugs. These new ignition systems carry enough voltage to kill you, especially if one may have a bad ticker. Back in the day it was, ok don't do that again.
