Default Mounting location for RAM Level Cup?

Since I've owned my 2010 SG I've been reluctant to mount a drink holder to the handlebars because I thought it took away from the aesthetics of the bike. However, I'm a little older now and I care less about beauty and more about function. On long trips on hot days it sure would be nice to have a place to hold a drink bottle. I recently purchased a RAM Level Cup drink holder and I'm wondering if anyone has mounted this on the right side of the bars? I have a RAM ball on the left side of the handlebars that I mount my GPS to that is pretty well hidden when the GPS is removed from the bike. It mounts to the underside of the unused mirror hole. However, on the right side I don't have that option because I need the ball to mount in a higher position in order to have clearance over the tank for the cup holder when the bars are turned fully to the right. Has anyone mounted one of these cupholders on the right side of their bars? If so, how did you do it? Pictures would be great.

I have Ram double ball mounts on my clutch and brake mounts. The pic of the cup is on the left, but obviously you could move it to the right side.

Thank you! That's the type of bracket that I've been considering. Were the included screws the correct diameter and length? One of the reviews that I read online stated that the screws weren't the right length, but the person didn't specify what type of bike they had. It could have been a metric bike.

Yes, the double ball mount has the correct screws.
