I have a 15 FLHXS and running 13" LA Chopper prime apes. While I like them a lot I have the bug for 16"!! I should have got 16s when I got these, but wanted to stay right around the top of the fairing. But now I just think the 16s will be a better more comfortable fit for me.
So lets see what you have
Shane
Just put these on Monday, what a chore, but couldn't be happier, better confidence, and comfort over stock. Factory 47 14" 1.5" dia. Dice and spliced both sides, with the exception of the throttle wires, clutch and brake lines are borderline tight but still have lock to lock steering. Great bars, fit and finish are superb.
Beautiful ride! I don't mean to hijack this thread. I have the 12" Yaffe Monkey Bars. They look similar to yours. Me and my buddy tried replacing the throttle sensor. We just couldn't get around that upper bend. I ended up taking it to the dealer. They are finishing it as we speak. I'm dreading the price tag since I was told the tech was working on it "all day" yesterday. Did you change the bars yourself? Hats off to you if you did . I reached my max patience level with that one lol.

Thanks, yeah I was near my, give it up patience, but I persevered. Running the wires was a trial and error on the throttle side, the left side was a piece of cake and I left the connector on. What I did was tie a string on to a wire and blew the string through with air pressure, then ran the throttle wires to the hole in bars for the switches then tied the switches wires to the throttle wires and sprayed a bunch of PB blaster and after three tries they came through, that was very time consuming! Your gonna love how the bars feel, forget how great they look, they provide a major improvement of handling. I now know why they charge $1500+ on installing these app hangers! I spent about 8hrs total time, but I still need to do something with the brake hose, damn ABS. Ride safe brother.
