I guess I bought mine right because the local dealer offered me $1500 less than what I paid (tax not included) for my 16 when I went in for the dealer open house and that wasn't even trying to negotiate. They know me there so I am not sure what if anything that had to do with it.

Selling dealer offered me 21,000 on my 2016 SGS on a new 2017 SGS at MSRP. I didn't think that was too bad for a one year old bike with 8,000 miles. Did not bite though since not enough difference between bikes to trade. Dealers in my area are not discounting their 2016's any more than they did 6 months ago.

correct -- no toy is an investment -- it's made to enjoy -- I traded my 16 RG for a 16 CVO RG -- and got more than a fair deal both on trade and purchase; there is a very large HD presence in ATL -- especially with ladies and RGs

If you have a really good running Twin cam, keep it. Don't trade.

I mean, my M8 is pretty awesome. If my last bike was awesome I'd still have it. It wasn't, so I traded. Nothing more to it than that.

It's really about how the bike makes you feel. If you ain't feeling it, move on, but if you are feeling it and just want a new mistress for a touch more "feeling"... yeah, we all know how that works out in real life. It's about never worth it - and it's expensive as hell
