Bought a sissy bar/backrest for my pillion seat off of E-Bay. Problem is that the leather saddle bags on my 2004 RoadKing Classic now won't open fully without catching on the docking kit of the sissy bar.
Can anyone help & advise, please?
Do I need to apply spacers to the fixings for the saddle bags to move them out slightly, hence making them open without catching?
Do Harley do kits to do this or do I need to adapt & overcome?
Beautiful bike that I very recently swapped to after selling my Hayabusa. The Harley thing is a powerful force to be reckoned with!
The detachable hardware kits come with some spacers for shimming out the tops of the bags when installing it on a Road King Classic. I did not put in the spacers, because I didn't like the way they made my bags stick out. I just dealt with opening the bags partially when using the sissy bar.
I want to ride my girl around on my 2009 road king, my question is do I need to get the two point or the 4 point docking kit, and do they take different back rest or can I use the same quick release back rest for eather kit
