Paint Quality ?
Hi everyone !
Just purchased a 06 Road King Classic, vivid black, as I was waxing her, I am finding in the paint dust underneath the clear, two areas, all on the tank, there extremely small in size,
pin tip size, also found scratch on front fender. Dealer is extremely nice, told me in short he will replace all defective issues. My question to fellow harley owners, are they finding the
paint quality is sliding ?

If you only found 2 pin sized screw ups in a shiny black paint job, smile and congratulate yourself. I've heard of people talking about a perfect black paint job, but I've never seen one.
Having been in the OEM paint business for (my God) 30 some years. Two pieces of dirt ain't bad. Is it "in" the clear? If so, it can be finessed out, as well as the scratch. None of us wants a blemish in our new baby, but, it happens. Go look closely at a $50,000 Lexus or an Escalade, you'll see 'em. Now, show off your knowledge to your dealer. Tell him/her to try 3M's purple "finesse-it" on the spots. They should come right out.
