I have a,13 Ultra Limited. The crash bars in front of the side bags are digging into the back of my wife's legs. My buddy has a 15 ultra and they redesigned them to where this doesn't happen. They are bent down and closer to bag. Anyone know if I can put 14 and newer bars on a 13 or is there aftermarket bars designed better?
I put a 14 and later style on my 13. See thread for full details.

I used the comfort bars mentioned above on my Road King and it works great to keep it out of the back of her leg.
On the Limited I went with the clean look and totally removed it using saddlebag support kit 46565-04. She has plenty of leg room now.
I love the look but if it falls over for any reason, the saddlebag will take the hit. I flipped out once backing it into a tight spot when my foot slipped and the bike went over. I thought the bag would be damaged. I got SOOO lucky when I looked for damage and realized that the support bar was on the curb I was trying to get around and it kept the bike from going all the way over.
