I have a defect in my wrist resulting in arthritis, so wrist position was definitely a concern when changing bars on my '16 Road Glide Special. I'm 6'1" and could've gone much taller, but I went with a shorter bar in 11" Road 6 Customs. My wrist angle is much better and the bars aren't so tall that my arms fall asleep, however I push my bars forward quite a bit to stretch myself out.
Like White Ice said, there are a LOT of options and a whole bunch of talk on this site that you could research. Good luck with your search.
I have some new in box 12" mx westcoast t bars if you are interested. I have ran road 6. Great bar if on budget. Also I have ran yaffe monkey bars I liked them and I'm currently running factory 47 and I'm blown away by their quality. Another I would like to experiment with is carlini. They are making more of their bars in 1.5" now. They are a good company I had them on my road king
I have 16 road glide CVO with 12" Factory 47's. word of advise and make sure you double check the bars before you put them on. the shop that I went through didn't check them out before installing them and didn't see a flaw in the chrome. Factory 47 said sorry for your luck and the shop said it was 47's to fix. So here I am with $500.00 bars that will probably start to peal the chrome off in a few years. But still love the look of them just not the headache I will be in for in the future.
ok cool thanks everyone for all the input. along with my screwed up wrist I suffer from what they call T-rex syndrome and I have very short arms, I litterally can only turn the bars 3/4 of the way without having to lean my whole torso near the bars and its a bit sketchy lol. Im thinking 10 or 11 " bar would be good for me especially if they ar in a more hand forward position.
Kliphangers are the worst looking bars by far. For those of you who have installed Factory 47 bars. Do the bars allowed for adjustment forward and backward or are you limited by the "pin" that the Road Glide has?
