Hello old chap, from South of the border! You need a few more posts before you can show us photos, unless you provide a link to an external photo website.
As for a battery, your dealer can obviously supply one, although probably pretty expensive. Most of the better battery brands will offer one, including Yuasa, however be sure to buy an AGM type, not the cheaper versions. They are more reliable and also more powerful. Check the usual general UK biking websites.
You could contact member BungoBill, who lives in Ayrshire, not so far away, he may have some tips on local suppliers. Tell him I recommended him!
Welcome from a Yank with strong Scottish heritage. Part of the McNaugton clan here. Traced my family to 1534 in Wigtown. I also enjoy wearing my West Coast Harley Tshirt from Scotland. I've always liked the Moroccan Gold color, was tempted to buy one when they came out and black it out.

ok cheers for that mate. need to look up this bungbill lol, love that. had been looking at Yuasa as I think I remember from last time I had the battery out, might be wrong there but it rings a bell. What I don't understand is why it's went so suddenly. the bike lay for six months through atrocious weather last year and started first press of the button albeit sluggishly. I know I know....not good to leave a battery that long without charging. just pure laziness alongside disgust at our weather so I kind of fall out with biking during winter and most of our so called summer here
noted that model no or whatever it's called. not very technical me, I just get on and ride
When you buy your new battery, also buy a battery minder (or 'tender' as the chaps in here will know it!). Then you won't have a repeat problem next Spring.
