Hope you have better luck w/softies then I did, at least the ones shown in the big Harley catalog!
I've tried both on my '07 RG and niether one will fit! Period!!
Was told to try www.ironbags.comactually saw two sets of these installed on two diffeent 'Glides, may go that route next fall.
Don't say that. I sure hope these things fit.
I did take them off prior to last weekend. Helped with the wind buffeting and the heat buildup. There were a few sprinkles on my way home Sunday and I was thinking about those soft lowers.
GliderXXX, Do you have a Road Glide or an Electra Glide. I have a RG and have ordered the the lowers, can't get them with the vents. Only the EG ones come with vents, so I've been told. If you have RG, did you add aftermarket vents?
I have a Street Glide Marv, and I'm surprised you can't get vented lowers for your Road Glide. I believe you can.
marvincbr is correct, no vented lowers for the Road Glide. No clue as to why either. Aftermarket vents are our only option. It has become a tradition to remove them in the late spring and re-install in the early fall. Sort of like changing the clocks!
Well, I'm pretty sure that you can't get them from HD. Someone might offer a set with vents for the RG, but the ones that I have coming will not. I've been watching the forum for vent threads and had a couple of good ideas thrown out there from the knowledgeable members. Only had the RG for a week now, without lowers, and the heat hasn't been too bad. Just trying to get ideas if the heat does get unbareable.
It hasn't gotten too hot hereyet, so mine are still on. I will probably try it with them off at some point, but with all the rain we have been having, they sure have been nice!
OBTW! It takes a little longer to pick that foot up and press on the rear brake pedal going 70 mph down the highway with all that new found air blowing on you.
