Total LED Conversion Calculation
I switching all my lighting to LED on my 2013 Ultra....curious if anyone has figured out how much less draw on the system there will be. Looking to add a few electronics and would love to know the math. I know zero about electric things

every 100 watts of power used on a 12 volt system is 8.3 amps of current.
the formula used is ohm's law, there are online calculators.
so you add up all the watts whether for a lamp, led, heated clothing etc..add a little for resistance in the wiring and switches...and enter into the calculator or just remember the 100/8.3 equation

I didn't calculate my entire load, but my Truklite Phase 7 headlight and spots draw slightly less than 1/2 amperage than the stock units. I have since replaced all the other lighting. You have plenty of breathing room.

There's no need to work out what you've saved! Use a multimeter and measure your current consumption with everything turned on and hence what capacity your charging system has 'spare'.
