make sure your have the vin, not the motor number or tranny number...the vin starts with 1HD1 which means made in the usa...that's the easy part- it'll be on the frame neck or on your AB issued title

OP is in Alberta so if he has a Canadian bike the VIN starts with 5HD, not 1HD.
