Hello all- I'm a first time Harley owner (always had Hondas) and first time on this forum. Wanted an ultra classic and stumbled across '13 with the 120r motor. I think I got a steal at $14k but know very little about it. First question: it has an SE heavy breather but gets in the way of my leg due to rotation for lower fairing speakers. If I put a Big Sucker 2 on will it need to be Dyno-d? Thanks and I apologize in advance for my ignorance.
Pete
Hey all I appreciate your responses. Again, I'm new at the forum and I'm sure you all know more about my Harley than I do.
I think I'll go with the big sucker 2 to give my leg some more room. I've got short legs too so the heavy breather is even more of a hinderence. But one of the reasons I wanted the ultra was because I needed the music! And I'm telling you- it rocks.
Rolling- the bike came with a specific tuner for the 120.
Rolling- it came with an SE super tuner. I loved my VTX 1800 but this Harley puts the Honda to shame.
Very nice, looks like it's set up well. I put those armrests on my detachable tour pack and the wife loves them, but I only put them on for longer trips because they get in my way.
Any chance the dealer gave you a dyno sheet? And lastly, the one warning from other 120R owners that I ignored and paid the price was replacing the SE lifters.
Mine ended up grenading like quite a few before me, took out my cams/ cam plate/ pushrods and oil pump.
If no one has switched your out, I would highly recommend doing so. I went with the S&S lifters and haven't had any issues since.

What year motor is yours? I read somewhere on this site the SE rocker issue has been resolved (same rockers used in the SE110). My 120ST is less than a year old, once the warranty is up I may take this recommendation if there's confirmation the rockers are still suspect.
