Default Starter Upgrades

Gotta new starter clutch here 2 seasons ago, new compensator but battery is going on 6 years old, if not 7.
Thinking it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a new battery and will probably start there but was wondering what ya'll or if ya'll have upgraded your starters and if so to what?

Nobody's ever upgraded their starter then, ok...

A starter clutch issue led me to an all ***** racing 1.4 kv chrome starter. http://www.allballsracing.com/80-1014.html Sweet look, IMV. Very robust. Pricey.

I was installing the high output alternator and replaced my starter as part of that upgrade.

Both rated at 1.4 KW.
I see that they do make some higher.
I saw 1 @1.6 and another @1.7.
Don't know if there's advantages or disadvantages to having more?

Is your engine stock? Have you had a lot of starter problems? At 91,000 miles, except when I needed a battery I've never had to think about my starter.

Just to be on the safe side I replaced my stock Evo starter with a 2.0kW one. Seems adequate with my S&S 107"!
