another winter bullshit meeting last night while sitting around drinking beer with some friends. the topic of this Liquid Moly came up and no one really knows anything about it. is it safe to add to your oil ? syn. or dino oil ? can you run it in the engine and transmission ? how much to add ? is there oils out there that have it in there already ? as i said no one really knew much about it. don't believe i've ever seen it in the auto parts stores .
Here's a thread on another forum about LiquiMoly 10w-60 Racetech GT1, 100% Synthetic, SL,CF,A3,B4 oil.
Apparently it's used by the BMW M5 guys and a couple people tried it in their Harleys. If you can get past all the BS that finds its way into any oil thread, there were a few who got blackstone labs reports of it in their Harleys.
It seems like a good oil, but then again, I can't remember the last time I heard of an oil brand related engine failure....
I believe any good, rated oil will do just fine.....
Moly only has benefits to a motor with traditional solid sleeve type bearings like automotive & industrial engines, it's useless as tit's on a nun for an all roller bearing engine like a harley. Won't hurt anything but no gains to be made.
