Just got back from our 19 day 6163 mile cross country trip. We started off in North Georgia and went to California then back across to Washington, DC (we participated in Rolling Thunder) then back to North Georgia. The 07 Ultra did great!!! No complaints here. I had it serviced at Pomona Valley Harley-Davidson (great group of people IMHO) when we arrived in California and just dropped it off today at my local dealer for it’s 10,000 mile service…it's way over-due as the bike has 13,500 on it now. I just wanted to chime in and say so far so good with my 07….
Sounds like a nice ride. Did you do it on a stock seat?? I rode from Central Florida to Deals Gap last September on my 06 RK, bought an aftermarket seat after I got back...talk about a case of the "monkey butt"!!!!

Wow some trip. How about your tires - do they need replacing?
Sounds like a great trip. Love to do it myself. Pictures/video anywhere? When you say "we", was that you and a passenger or did you ride with other bikes?
m3300 - yes I have a stock seat and no the butt isn’t sore…I did however wear the riding shorts from LD Comfort and I can highly recommend them. You can do a search on Google to find their website.
btefft – I changed the rear tire before I left even though it was only a little over half way used but I didn’t want the hassle of changing it while we were on the road. Other than running into hail in western New Mexico in the middle of a construction zone with nowhere to pull over it was a very sweet and rewarding trip.
My wife was with me on this trip and once we got to California we hooked up with the Run For The Wall for the ride back to DC. I made a little website for our kids and other family members to follow along with, feel free to check it out if you wish. http://www.nationalservice.com/rftw
