Default TruBeam Custom Dynamics

looking to change out stock headlight for the CD Tru Beam...have read that there are issues w most upgrade headlights in cornering situations where it seems as if there is a spotlight of light in front and not a fanned out light. Also, saw where some have made it possible to have the low beam left on when high beam was activated to take care of that situation of lack of sight in corners. Does anyone have any input on this or on the above light I have listed. I really like the look of it and also the fact that it comes with a built in Halo. Thanks to all for advice and support.

That is basically the nature of the beast with these new lights. Even in cars. They are called projector style lamps. The old lamps had a bulb and the bulb would produce light that was then reflected of the back of the lamp and would flood out. With these new ones the light is projected out deliberately in a pattern. It really is something to get used to. Your spotlights can really help make up for this difference if you find it to be a real problem.

I have the Trubeam and love it. For sure significantly brighter than my stock 2011 headlight on SG. There is an available part to run all three, high beam low beam and halo all at one. More bright than you will ever need in my opinion. I don't run it with the high beam on often, but when needed its unreal bright. I have pictures mounted if you need. My only complaint is finding the correct headlight ring to cover a small gap, which I am in the process of doing now. Really doesn't have that much of a gap between the end of the light and stock bezel, but noticeable when your right up close. I would deff recommend this light.

I have had upgraded bulbs, LED bulbs and the JW Speaker EVO2. I find that the Tru Beam is great and excels in lighting from the others, possibly due to the halo. With the JW Speaker the horizontal line was horrible in a corner but with the Tru Beam light is flooded and projected out from the bike so you do not get the dead spot. It is bright and you can be seen with it too as an added benefit.
