2000 ultra classic speedo and blinker failure
So Thursday I'm cruising along on my first real ride since I bought the bike a couple weeks ago and decide to try out the cruise control. I'm running 65-70 and hit the set button and release the throttle. Speedo still says ~70 but revs drop. So I flip the cruise button off and on a few times and nothing changes. Speedo still frozen and no turn signals. Even after sitting about 4 hours on a tat it didn't change and is now still stuck and the speedo light is off despite the rest of the dash working just fine.
Reading through it seems the speed sensor maybe the culprit but no one else described a frozen speedo with their problem.

Hello and welcome.
Sentence structure makes it very difficult to understand..probably on a smart phone.
After reading it a few times, it seems that symptom might relate to speed sensor.
The speed sensor and also the tail light circuit are important to cruise control function.
The speed sensor is also related to other "timed" functions like the turn signals.
Consider review of seed sensor...clean, test.
Sometimes a replacement might be required of speed sensor.

Also do not understand what a speedo "tat" is?
Is the speed light described the back lighting of the speedometer?
If back lighting is OFF then review the plug at the back of the speedometer.
Not just the plug but the wires going to the plug.
The speedometer will stick on a speed if the power to the speedometer is lost.
If power is lost to speedometer then the other functions dependent on the speedometer will not function either.

Completely forgot to update this. I finally got time to work on it Wednesday. Pulled the fuses out, the accessories fuse was popped. Replaced it and everything works right now. Not that I've tried the cruise again, my mechanic said they're notorious for failure. He's gonna be servicing the tensioners next week since I'm just over 39k and said he'd check for a pinched or exposed wire with the cruise, but probably I'll just unplug it and use the dash switch for something else like the led lights I'm adding to the crash bar. I always like the throttle lock cruise control anyway and mechanical is much easier to fix or replace.

Well if my cruise continues to be finicky and the only way to correct it is a computer replacement that likely will mess up again in the future, yes I'd prefer a lock. Especially since my use of cruise is mostly just to let my hand rest a bit and not long stretches as I don't do a lot of highway riding.
