I'm thinking of changing the stock seat on my 07 Ultra. It really is a pain in the a#$%^. I'm considering a Mustang one piece. Wondering what you folks like best for a seat???
Mustang and Corbin are very popular. I sent my stock seat out to MCC to have the padding replaced and custom fit for me. I saved alot of $$$ by going this route. Many here have sent their seats to Allen @ MCC,never heard a bad thing about his work. http://www.meancitycycles.com/
I have a 2004 FLTHCSE. I've had the Sundowner HD seat, Ultra pillow/button seat and finally the Mustang one piece. The Mustang wins hands down. I rode and Iron Butt Saddlesore 1000 CA-AZ inJune of '04.Fried my brain in 115 degree heatin Gila Bend, blew a head gasket in Phoenix made it home with happy a#&! to Ontario!....go with Mustang.
Ditto to toneman: I have a corbin on my road king and it's like sitting on steel plate. Even the the front section that tapers towards the tank is too wide for your thighs. After I bought it I tried to contact the company to find out what I could do to make it more comfortable and they just blew me off. Corbin himself read the email but never replied.
I know they tend to the expensive side but I've had the seats on the last three bikes I've owned converted by them and have "never" had a problem with it.
Thanks, the Russell looks good. Has anyone had a problem with the Mustang 1 piece seat on an Ultra Classic? Specs say the passenger seat is 16" wide which is an inch wider than the stock. Does it fit ok with the rear speakers on the Ultra??
If you are going to do longer rides, especially if 2-up, you should consider the Ride Zepellin. Great feel,air-adjustable, and allows you to ride for very long times....
