I have the 10's, I'm 6'2" and wish I had the 12's. Both will be over the fairing.
The knuckles get a little chilly when/if you ride in cold weather though.

I have the 12's. Mine is pulled back instead of standing straight up. I did have to replace the fairing mirrors. I'm 5'11 and the sizing is perfect. But now, I do wish that I went for 14's. Mainly for the look.
My buddy who's 5'4 or something like that has 14's on his and seeing him handling the bike, esp in his driveway is hilarious.
I'm 5-08 and have the 12's. They are perfect. Yes your hands are a bit above the fairing but it's a small price to pay. I was able to use my stock mirrors and look under my arms. it takes a while to get used to but it's second nature to me now.
