I went to the website & checked out both colors. IMHO, the red has too much flake & although looks good at first, it has the potential to be gotten tired of real quickly, and the flames on the fairing don't "flow" nicely from the front, where they start abruptly. Colors like this look great when the bike is new, but get a couple dings or blems & it looks like crap-a-doodle.

I'd get the orange. Graphics "flow" much better. Will still look great with a little age on it.

I asked on this forum because who knows bikes and bike colors better than we do , no one ! The dealer did put them side by side in the sun and sure enough both " not pretty " nice . No wife to help decide , the guys at the Harley shop all said orange one woman said red . Both look good but is the red bike worth $1500. extra ? Thanks for the opinions .

No one can tell anyone what color bike to get. The only fact is that Vivid Black cost hundreds less up front and easier and quicker to sell outright or trade in in the future. Many dealers will call a trade in price higher on a Vivid Black bike then some of the "turd" two tones that become dated.

Laguna Orange all the way!! Those "flames" stuck on the Hard Candy models look like, well "stuck on". These have to be the worst...like an afterthought. Can't believe they did this a second year after introducing it last year. Not crazy about the "bass boat" look of the Hard Candy either.

If not Laguna Orange, my next choice would be Crushed Ice Pearl

You asked...just my personal preference & .02 worth

I'm guessing the hard candy colors are directed toward a segment of the Harley market the MOCO wants to influence.

Of the two you are looking at, Laguna Orange is the better choice. If you like the metal
flake, you have to know it is not popular. That Bass Boat metal flake went out of style in
the 70s. I like the Superior Blue, but that just me, nothing wrong with your choices.
