The wet towels works well and I also use DRY WASH its a spray cleaner I bought at Daytona Flea Market, that stuff is like wax and the fall off if you get them soon. I can be done right at the next rest stop. I was out this weekend going to NC and got hammered with those things.
Also use aused dryer sheet, you know Bounty softner sheets, when your wife removes them from the dryer keep'em,wet bike and dryer sheet, love bugs will melt away. The dryer sheet will turn the water milky and will leave a film, so after the bugs are gone wash with soap
Works great, you have to know these tricks in South Louisiana

To add to this, be sure you have a good coat of wax on your front end. Take either a used or new softner sheet, place it in a bucket of water for 10 min. Then either soak your rag into the water or use the dryer sheetplace on the bugs and they will melt off.
Warm wet towels in a mild detergent soap bucket. Then lay towels over parts to soak and soften the bug guts then they all will come off with reg soap and water wash job.
went to crystal river this past weekend. found a S**t load of love bugs. let me tell you they smell when they hit your nose. to clean them off i just used my mr clean sprayer. let it soak for a few then sprayed off. soak again in the soap solution and spray off. came out really good.
maybe prior to using it i sparyed my bike down with lemon pledge all over

Took a ride up to St Augustine for a couple of days. About 600 miles round trip. When I ran out of Harley Bug Juice I used good old soap and water. The soap and water worked better than the Harley stuff. Daytona Harley Davidson was sold out of the bug juice. Two of those cami cazi ba$tids got over the top of my windshield and splattered on my glasses. Had to pull off the next exit to clean my glasses. It was a great ride in spite of the bugs. The Road Glide is all nice and clean now sitting in the garage waiting for the next desitination.
get large soft towels and place on bike / car then soak the towels and walk away..return about 20 to 30 minutes later.. 90% of bugs will just drop off with the hose or stick to towel...flip towel and repeat ...do not scrub at the bugs because they will scratch the plastic windshield and paint..2 large beach towels and 2 smaller ones for the mirrors are ussually enough for most cars and bikes.
sure nuff this is the way................live in the apopka/orl area-did 500 this weekend and BUGS WERE HORRENDOUS
