What do mean by perform? Perform what? Are you and passenger 300lbs each, loaded for a two week camping trip in the Rockies? Or are you 150 lbs and have a solo seat on a Sportster? Figure out what you want from your bike, then choose an appropriate cam and other mods.

I see you are new to the forum. Welcome.
Use the search function here and you will find hours and hours of reading on cams. It's one of the most talked about subjects here on the forum with the exception of one I will not name so as not to start anything.
Who's going to do the install and tune? If you are taking it to a shop, talk to them and tell them what you want out of the cam and your riding style. They can help you with some suggestions that will work for you.
Everyone here will tell you the cams they chose are the best. Might be for perfect for them and their riding style but may not be to your liking.
Perfect example. I thought my indy knew me better so I took him my Limited at a 1,000 miles and told him to do his magic to it. He's hard core and rides full throttle to the rev limiter all the time. He loves the S&S 510 cams he put in it and the bike will haul *** but I rarely go past 4,000 rpm's before shifting. When I had my Road King rebuilt I told him I wanted a cam that kicked in sooner for more torque at lower RPM. He chose the SE 204 you are asking about. It's perfect for me.
Long story short, there at a ton of different cams and they are all a matter of person preference and matching your other mods.

haven't told us what you are riding.
1-The SE-203 was the Stage-II or Stage-III go to cam for TC-88s 10 or 12 years ago
from 1999 to 2005 or 2006.
2-The SE-204 Cams are a good all around cams for midrange power, and works best in
the 96 & 103 engines with stock or 10:1 compression.
3-The SE-211 Cams have a little more duration then SE-204s, and work best with higher
compression ratios.
All of these Cams are drop in cams work best in stock heads with stock valve springs.
These Cams will work in any Bike with a Twin Cam engine.

The Andrews 21's are milder than a 203 or 204. Probably a better choice for a stock 88 if you don't intend to do more mods down the road.
