Default Looking for torque value

Hey,

Anybody knows what is the Torque value for the torx screws circled with red? I searched in the service manual but I could not locate it.

I don't know the specific torque value. I use a 1/4 drive screw driver handle with the torx bit on the end. Hand tight was always adequate on my EGC.

That's just the retainer ring, right?
Never even considered torquing them. Hand tight has always held fine for me.

I did hand tight them, but I am more confident with following the specs.

No this is the headlamp assembly bracket attached to the outer fairing, the retainer ring screws are the three phillips screws with the arrows pointed to them.

Nothing wrong with that! I don't have a service manual handy. I looked at the installation instructions for the dual halogen headlight kit. They state in the instructions to "tighten the screws securely". Lol. Maybe they don't give a torque spec on those.

Link to instructions for dual halogen kit.

The standard torque for those screws are 22 to 32 inch lbs... not foot lbs.

Thanks but as per the service manual, this torque is for the retainer screws (3 phillips screws) pointed with arrows.

If I remember correctly those screws go into a nut with a rubber gasket that fits into a larger hole. If you tighten them to much you will tear the rubber gasket or strip them and you wont be able to get them back out. tighten them enough to compress the rubber and hold them firmly in the hole.

Kind of like the screws that hold the windshield on a touring bike.
