Susp Question
Do the Bagger's need that stabalizer link for the rear swing arm? I've read several articles that "claim" they need it to improve handling. Now, the few baggers I've ridden seem pretty stable to me.I've gone around corners (particularly freeway cloverleaf on & off ramps) considerably faster (10 mph?) than I would on my Heritage. The only thing I noticed with the Ultra is it's (a little) more top heavy at very slow speeds.

I have a 99 which many say it has the small axels front and rear and the swing arm is weak, yada, yada, yada. It handles pretty darn good though. I did just order the Sta Bo1 from Puzzled here on the forum which really helps the rear swing arm setup on the older bikes, so they say.

My buddy & I saved up and researched Sta Bo, the Ride Str8 and True Track. I found a hot deal on this forum for a Road Zeppelin seat and spent my money. Dan on the other hand got the Ride Str8. He feels you do give up a little to get the Stablization(can't be too different, he's not removing it), and I've see posts that people on here that put in the Sta Bo Bushings feel a little more vibration. I can wait, everything on my bike is new for now.
