For about the same price you can get a set of Ohlins that will blow progressives out of the water. Check out Howard at motorcycle metal

This. I called Howard. Shocked at the discount he gives HD Forums members. I was too looking at Progressives but scored some Ohlins for a similar price.

Standard springs without a doubt. I have the 944's on my RKC. They ride great. I'm 210# BTW. P said unless you top 275 or ride 2 up the HD will be too stiff.

When going from the OEM std length shock on a SGS to a 13" shock. Will the extra length in the new shock require the drive belt to be readjusted? ( will the longer shock cause the belt to be looser, or tighter?)
