Has anyone bought Carlini blemish bars? Looking at a set now. Just want to know how bad blems are? Want to know if we are talking chrome flaking or just scratches?
I've sent an email to Carlini, waiting on a response.

Which bars are you interested in? I have a set of 18" Flyin' Apes that I wired and mounted, then took right off. They don't have a single mile of use on them. If your interested, PM me, maybe we can make a deal that both of us are happy with.
They're not blems either. But, to your original question, I have heard the same that the blem bars are difficult to find the actual blems.
I've purchased blems from Carlini....years ago. Couldn't find anything wrong with them. They're standards/eyes are higher/sharper than most of ours, it's a pretty good bet that you'll be happy based on my one time experience.

Good luck!
Thanks Redbeard but 18s are too tall for me according to NH state law. Tried a set of 16s and they put my hands right at shoulder level.
Call Bill, and see if they have blems if one of their models looks good to you. They're another company that makes their product here in the US, and they're second to none in quality and customer service. Carlini is good, not taking anything away from them, just offering up another option if you weren't familiar with BR. They're my favorite.
I put a set of 16" blemished black gangster apes on an 05 deluxe I had a year ago and the only flaw I found, was that the black powder coat seemed to have a bit of a grey tinge to it, only noticed it if you looked really close. Great set of bars and decent price.
Bit the bullet and ordered 16" gangsters in 1.5" diameter. Needed to order a set of risers also. Went this way after speaking to Rex at Carlini. He said no step down 16" in stock, new or blemmed.
