I've had one of those since 2010. first on my ultra and now on my limited. Cpt Itch's cup holder is great....be sure to check out some of his other stuff too...i have the crotch cooler and the wraps for my saddle bag guards. great quality stuff.
Does the Contigo keep beverages cold for at least 8 hrs? Thanks
I use the 20oz on the leather saddlebag guard (perfect fit). I normally run coffee in one for the morning portion of my ride and keep one with water in my saddle bag. I can't say that "in the wind" it will keep cold for 8 hours as I normally top mine off with ice at gas stops, but it will keep cold for 4-5 hours.
Yes, I use cruise when I grab a drink. It makes perfect sense to me, but hog trough was also puzzled by this, they made me sign a waver.
Another reason it makes sense is that I'm right handed. I don't want to be fumbling around with a cup with my left hand.
I find it odd they would want a waver. After all there are tons of universal mounts that can go on either side and none of them ask for one... Wonder if they've been sued before?

I have 2 of these, and they certainly will.
They say 12 hours.
Keeps ice all day, or hot for long, long time.
Flip lid works with one hand, too.
It fits in my rear side bar bags perfectly.
I can attest to the thermos brand holding ice for 12 hours, but the only thing that turned me away from it was the flip top. I don't want a top flapping and hitting my nose and partially blocking my view when I ride. The one handed push button feature on the contigo is nice because you get liquid only when you want it with no ill affects.

Turn it a quarter turn before you push the button, and it will miss your nose.
My Hydroflask kept ice for at least 18 hours in 90 plus degree weather on a multi day trip. I keep it mounted to the left saddlebag guard. The only drawback I found is use drink water faster than the ice will melt. I could only fill it up half way with ice. I did buy an aftermarket top for it. Highly recommend.
the contigo travel mugs are great, the newer easy-clean lids are way nicer than the older models. plus the new ones also have a lock so you can't accidentally hit the trigger. been using them for years on the bike, boat, UTV, you name it. costco usually has them for a decent price for a pack of two

I've seen the regular Contigo water bottles at Costco, but do they carry the s/s insulated one?
