Congrats on the bike, love my 2017 RGU but I am not seeing a 47mpg avg. I have logged every fill up and millage into my Autosist app for a little over 2500 miles and my average mpg for all tanks is 38 with a high of 40.99 mpg. That is a mixture of highway at 70-80 mph, around town and cruises on back roads/Natchez Trace at 55mph or so

Good looking shark there. I've eeked out 50 mpg on my 2013 RGU, when touring on the U.S. route system (i.e. US 23) and two up. We travel the U.S. routes to see and get side tracked on occasion, but to make up time we hit the interstates. Enjoy that Roadie.

Nope I just ride it normal stay cool for 500 miles. My 2013 was picked up soon as they open the door, Had it back right at closing time for the 1000 mile service just a tad over.
Had to wait on the bike and I was on the mend from totaling my other one out. I wanted to ride.

So far I've filled up twice and am ready for number 3. First tank was around 44 of all highway and changing rpms. Second tank was really changing rpms with a chunk of interstate riding and that averaged 40. This tank I have 210 miles on and the low fuel light isn't on yet. The section I talked about is when I finally found the trip summary. I reset the gps which zeroed it out and that was the last 55 miles of the 210. The previous miles were changing rpm, speed gears for the break in. I can really tell that fuel mileage suffers at around 3500 rpm and the sweet spot is around 2500 to 3000. If this weekend is good I'm taking it for another ride with a full tank. I'll post the mpg then.

I would be interested in what you see for MPG. Most of my cruising is between 2500 and 3000

I don't own an M8, but doesn't 47 mpg signal you may be running too lean ? I'd be tempted to explore a tune that would cause the engine to run a tad richer in the interest of running it cooler. "Just me".

Something to remember about that break in period: This is the time where you treat metrics and haters to a slow drive by view of what superior judgement and engineering beauty is all about. You've provided that example, now the rest is up to them.
