Default Drivers back rest

Been looking into back rest. It seems the only adjustable one that you can change positions while riding is made by the company. So with so many reviews of the bad angle that it adjusts to decided to call a engineer friend of mine and start the process of inventing designing and building one. Any ideas from y'all would be appreciated. The more ideas the better the design

I think Mustang has one, with a thumb screw, to adjust angle

I love my adjustable backrest - wouldn't ride too far without it

Yup. I've had one for at least 10 years.

Corbin makes one too. I just picked one up, but haven't tried it yet

I like the adjustable kit from the MoCo. As with everything, you just have to dial it in to you. I've got it at the height I want. With adjusting front to back as easy as adjusting my office chair, I'm happy with it.
My only "complaints" are:
  1. It's taken some getting used to reaching up under the air deflector to reach the switch.
  2. I swear the instructions wanted me to mount the switch upside down.

Does it work with stock seats? , I know Mustang had one that mounted under seat, and can be used for any seat with the slot

I bought my HD adjustable back rest 3 years ago and I wouldn't even ride down the street w/o it.

All my boys with SG's now went out and bought one.

The adjustable back rest should be standard on all touring bikes. I don't see how guys ride w/o them. We buy touring bikes for comfort, so might as well go all the way in.

I don't have your kind of bike. But I lucked out with finding a used Mustang solo with an adjustable backrest, and I'm really happy with it.

I installed my backrest 3 years ago, adjusted it to fit me then and have never felt the need to change it since. A $400 adjustable on the fly backrest is a waste of money IMO.
