New build, 106 big bore kit, 585 cams with fueling cam plate and oil pump kit, duel cam chain tensioners , qwicky push rod kit.. 89cc S&S heads, 55 mm Hpi intake, recluse clutch. Did my heat cycles, 7 of them. No problems change oil after heat cycles, took it out and rode probley 1 1/2 mile and had oil coming from the push rod tubes. Any one have any ideas.... O rings looked good , no burrs on the tubs , only thing I reused was the springs and washer.
Did you put the o-ring and washer backwards? o-ring against the top of the tube then the washer then the spring then the cap to the tube. See if this video can help you out at all?
A little more info on the leak would be helpful as well. Is it coming from the top of the middle?
If it's the middle then the video Griffin posted will more than likely be your issue. If it's coming from the top, you didn't have the tube seated properly. Good thing to remember, if your using the pushrod tube tool and your having to fight it to get your clip in, your more than likely not seated correctly at the top of the tube.
Yes I have the oring against the bottom tube, Then washer spring and cap. I pulled the rear tubs out to see if I have any thing in there that isn't supposed to be there, didn't see any thing wrong with the o rings , I am going to get a new set in the morning at the local HD shop and also get the tappet gaskets. I had to use the old tappet gaskets, for some reason the S&S qwikie pushrods kit that I got didn't have them in the kit. Wish I could post a the first fire film I have .. Sounds like a beast.. Looks like it is coming from the top.. It don't leak until I drive it. Sitting on the lift and bringing the Rpms up it will not leak.. Shooting about 45 to 60 psi oil pressure.

Update.... I just installed all new o rings in the push rod tubes and the same thing happened, oil everywhere from the push rod tubes... I reached down and turned the dip stick and had pressure leaking out , so I took the o ring off of the dipstick and left it lose , took it for a ride and no oil pushing out... So my question is, is the new build and the rings not being seated causing this over pressure?
Do the new heads have the vents that exit from the air cleaner mount holes? Also, do the bolts you have in those holes, are they hollow to allow venting?
I am using the S&S 89cc heads and I have the vent bolts installed ... But I didn't check them .. I didn't think to check them they were working when I pulled them out .. I thought that the vent in the heads were made in all to 96 heads, will also have to take a look at that..
If the vents are working properly, you should be able to suck air out of them but not blow air back into them. Check that. If your crank vents are not letting pressure out that could explain the pressure when you opened the dip stick.
