Default Yaffe 10" monkey bars

i am having the dealer install 10" Yaffe monkey bars on my 15 street Glide special. I am reading that no cables or wire extensions needed. The dealer says you may need a extended throttle sensor due to the bar design. Anyone experience this?

Yeah I think it's well spent improvement. The 12" put your hands above the fairing so I went with 10".

I went with 12's and installed them myself. I extended the wires so I could route them any way I wanted, but I think they would have been fine. With 10", you definitely won't need them.

The 12' bars are so comfortable and they are up high enough that I can look under my arms to see my mirrors. The 10's block your stock mirrors completely.

I have the 10" Yaffe MBB on my '12 Street Glide. If I recall, I needed a longer clutch cable...or was it brake cable? Anyhoo....one of those stock cables was to short for my liking. Also, I use my stock SG mirrors and they are fine, have to look under my arms but ya get used to it. But they are NOT blocked completely, although I'm 6'5" with a lowered seat so that may make a difference. I don't like the look of mirrors above the fairing.

On the 2015 he will not need longer hydraulic lines for the clutch, or brakes. I put on the same bars, only taller and used the factory lines. For the pre-Rushmores with cables, I can't say.

Put 10's on my '15 SGS. No extensions of of wiring or lines needed. Just a little rerouting.
But, the 8" NAMAZ wire extensions do make it alot easier, no wire rerouting required.

I am not using the stock mirrors. Went with performance machine black ones.

Go with the 10's. I installed the 8's recently and wish I had gone 10"
Plus, the 10" looks great and I'll say much better than the 8" looks.
