I have the 10" Yaffe classic bars (not the monkey bars) yaffe bars measure 2" taller than the stated height. So mine actually measure 12"
I put them on my 2012 EGS I had to run the clutch cable outside of the fairing to reach. I would have had to get a little longer one if I wanted to run it through the fairing like the stock one.
i have 10 inch yaffees which are really 12 inch. i needed no cables or TBT wires. my indy installed. my clutch cable is routed through the fairing no problem. no issues. he was a HD tech at a dealer for 15 years and also a teacher at a motorcycle mechanic school. knows his stuff. did a great job installing. you definitely will not need to extend
