Gear drives are definately the way to go. They should come that way from the factory, just like all previous motors did. The Twin Cam took giant leaps forward compared to previous engines.....but.....
The Twin Cam still has setbacks with the INA cam bearing and the cam chain from the get go. I highly suggest people have these two items replaced. The Torrington bearing is not going to give you any trouble, nor the gear drive. For anyone doing ANY engine upgrades....do these two items first.
