Default Big Sucker vs Fuel Moto AC

I am doing my stage one. I have used the big sucker on several bikes in the past without any issues. I was going to order another one, but when I was on the Fuel Moto site I see that they have their own AC unit.
I sent a email to FM asking then about the differences. Bob from Fm said that theirs has the breather tubes machined into the back of the plate.
If i'm understanding this right. The FM will run any oil back though the EFI, and the BS will vent it into the air. Is there an advantage to doing it one way over the other?
I also know that some people have had issues with the backing plate on the BS cracking. ( I have not had that issue) I don't know if that is due to the plate being weak, or if it is from mounting bolts not being torqued to the correct spec, or maybe just being tightened with a ratchet.
I am also considering screamin eagle, but it is 3rd on my list.
Any advice is appriciated.

I have both, one on each bike ..... I witness no difference and if I was to need another it would be a Big Sucker only because it appears to be built a bit better.

I have the Fuel Moto, its a quality piece...I have my breather bypass set up and found that the little holes for the breather tubes were easily plugged with a 1/4" plastic plug that I epoxied into place. I have had no issues with the FM product and their service is top notch!

Default BS vs fuelmoto

I had a big sucker before that the K&N filter broke where the A/C cover bolts attached to the filter. With the BS, I was SOL.

I bought the fuelmoto air cleaner for the next bike and the same thing happened. I called fuelmoto and they asked me to email them a picture of the broken part. I did that and they sent me a new filter free of charge.

Fuelmoto has a lifetime warranty on their A/C.

Which would you choose?

I'm running an S&S Stealth Cleaner with a Billet cover on my stage 2 103". Dyno'd 100/120. Throttle body plate noise but it's a tradeoff we live with

I would check out DK Customs before making your decision. They are a sponsor here as well and are great to work with. Whomever you choose to go with, be sure to route the breathers externally. That is some nasty crap that gets routed to the motor.

I installed the BS on my 2011 Road King when I bored it to a 103, dripped everywhere, always ran oil two holes up from "add".
Kept it installed when I went with a hi comp, powerful 107". Ran oil drastically low and still dripped everywhere. I'm one guy that can't say I like the BS design because oil everywhere on an expensive bike is embarrassing. I'd recommend staying away from that and once I emailed Bob and he said he cannot guarantee the FM one won't do the same. I'm also a guy that can't be convinced running a dry sump system low can stop excessive blow by thru breathers, (many say this works for them however?).
Now have Rushmore and this style cleaner is fine for most owners air flow requirements and is bringing the Harley Davidson up to the '90's, (no oil on cam cover etc).

In 2009 Fuel Moto was using Screaming Eagle backing plate. I'm not sure when they changed to there own backing plate. Regardless of what use ditto with confederate comment to be sure to route the breathers externally. That is some nasty crap that gets routed to the motor.

Your oil problem can't be blamed on the air cleaner. You either have breather (s) that aren't working properly, a tune that's off or its your riding style. You need to get the oil to stop getting into the breather.
