I called today, and they were very nice, and got everything adjusted for me.
Even though the website was not showing the correct mileage on my traded bike, it was correct in their system.
Since I tried twice to get my miles in for last year, they just added it in for me. --- All is good
in the HOG world, again, they were very nice to deal with, and I got great customer service on the phone call.
Glad you got it all worked out. I've called with questions on my mileage, and they were great to talk to. Yes, they really do want us to be happy with our bikes, and with HOG.
Some new things, in case you or your service manager aren't up on the latest...
1. Normally you have to go through your service manager to input new mileage figures.
2. However, the dealer no longer has to fax anything in. Now they can go online and put in your new miles for you.
3. As you've found out, we can all go to HOG.com and see our current mileage for all the VIN's we registered.

Happy you got this all sorted out. I've met the Davidson's and they are all keenly aware their success is due to people like us who support their product. They are proud of their heritage and would go to any length to protect it. For anyone to suggest they don't care about their customers is absolute total BS! I've also met the HOG worldwide + regional managers at officers training classes + they share the Davidson's appreciation or they would be unemployed in a heartbeat. Anytime I have a problem within my chapter, they straighten it out immediately. If you're not getting results for your HOG concerns, you're simply not contacting the right people + that's why boards like this are helpful .

I too have Met Willie G, his wife and his son Bill, they are all aware that without all of us there wouldn't be such success!! They are very down to earth and lobe to chat!
I too participate in the HOG Mileage program and just made the 175,000 mile mark! My goal is another 25,000 this year, at the least!
No, but I've never met Mr. Chevrolet or Mr. Ford or Mr. Dodge either. I'm sure they wouldn't care either.
I've bought 18 new Harley's since 1995. A new one every year since 2006.
Not once did Willie G, Bill or Karen ever send me a "Thank You' for buying this stuff.
I've enjoyed all of the bikes though.................
I will back you up on that it's true..... That's why everybody in here called him stealership...

Yup, our chapter officers ambushed Bill outside a HOT class where he was giving the closing speech a couple years ago. He stood around and talked with us for a good twenty minutes like we were old drinkin buddies. Posed for pics, signed autographs, signed my vest etc. That's gotta really get old, but they're very engaging. Also, extremely talented! It's not like any of them sit around on their laurels taking credit for their ancestors. Had the privilege of leading Karen on a ride last year when she was in town for our Ladies Adventure Weekend and needed an escort back to the dealership.
Not bashing anyone, just sharing my own observation.
I feel sure HOG is great at the top level, but the dedication may vary at the lower level. I have made stops at several dealerships, and during a coffee break and walkaround I notice the local HOG postings. Some are much more active than others, all kinds of action with pretty good participation. Sad to say, but some are not very active - run by a small "Click" - reminds me of "Us four and no more". I have taken pictures of the most active HOG board and shared it with the Dealer with the least active HOG group - I guess that's just the way things go.

There is no doubt, any chapter is the sum total of the contributions made by the sponsoring dealer, the chapter primary officers, and the chapter membership. Without all three, it won't fly. No HOG chapter can exist without a sponsoring dealer and he has final say over everything the chapter does. So, if you're in one of those chapters that doesn't fly, speak to the sponsoring dealer. If he cares, he'll do something about it. All chapters have a chapter manager who happens to be a dealer employee. That's a great place to start. Like I said, it's simply the sum total of what everyone puts into it. Nickel in, nickel out, contribute nothin, expect nothin!
As far as bashing the Davidsons or the Dealerships, that is your choice. I choose to be smart about my purchases. I will find the number of the part I need, then I decide, is it an emergency part, like a switch, or connector, I will usually go to the dealer. Do I need new chrome piece. I have the luxury of surfing most of the day at work, so I see a deal, I go for it. The guys on the forums have been straight up for the most part and I have gotten some good deals, next is ebay, but have to watch for cheap chinese parts. That is where the forums come in handy. Several threads questioning knockoffs. U would rather wait and buy a good used part from a member or orig Harley part before chinese parts. Lastly, I browse Craigslist for good deals. I got a new, never installed tourpak luggage rack and premium stereo headset locally, kept the rack and sold the headset to a member here. So there are many choices other than go to the "stealer"
