I went in last Saturday with my 2010 Ultra Limited that had a rear ABS module failure with the intention of either fixing it or trading for a used / 2016 bagger. ended up riding one of the 2017 road glides with the new 107CI engine...I was impressed with the new engine, tranny and suspension work they have done on the 2017 baggers...ended up buying a 2017 Road Glide Ultra...they forgave the repairs on my trade and then gave me two grand more than book value which I figured I would have to fight for...Paid 28K for the new one. But we are in Central Texas.
Thinking about upgrading my 2001 Ultra Classic, to a 2016 Road Glide Ultra. Local dealer in Central FL has a couple in a color I like.
What's a fair price, considering it's already April, and the new bikes will be out in 4 months.
I was thinking $23K for the bike, minus what I can get for mine and other cash.
Thanks for the input.
You may want to check out the 2017 RGU, just traded my 2010 Ultra Classic Limited for one last Saturday. I was the same as you...went in looking at used or last year leftovers and ended up really liking the ride on the new 107CI engines and the new tranny and suspension setup. Bike rides and handles so much better....price wasn't too much more than what I would have otherwise spent.

I paid 23,256 for my 17 RGU black/silver, after freight, setup 7% MS tax (1730.00), doc fees etc. it was $26,500 out the door. No trades cash deal. This was end of Feb
I was going back and forth a bit between new 16 or 17, the test ride made me really want the 17 but I figured if there was enough savings I would be happy with the 16. In the end there was not going to be enough difference to justify not going for the 17
My dealer has a beautiful left over '16 RGU CVO. I think they're at like 6k under msrp. So my guess is they still have some room to move. Just don't ride a 17. If you do, you're screwed.
I just went into local dealer this evening to buy a bottle of Formula+, sitting by the front door is a 2016 vivid black Road Glide Ultra for $21,900. Very tempting, but I don't need a payment
Great thread. Will come in handy when hopefully I'm headed to the dealer for a new RGU. I love my King, just want a tour pack, upgraded motor and trans, and that fugly nose!

So, you got your bottle of Formula+ without a payment book ??
