Default Locked bag lock

So I rode into work today on my 16 SGS. Went to lock my saddle bags and noticed the righ sided bag won't lock. Key won't turn or anything. Left side and ignition work just fine but this one out of nowhere became problematic. Fortunately it's not stuck locked. Anyone have a quick fix or is this a dealer visit?

Compare nothing sides, something came undone. Check the cable.

I don't see anything detached. The lock won't even turn externally. If something came undone wouldn't that mean it just wouldn't lock?

I would expect so I am not familiar with 16's but on the older 1's the lock comes out of the center. either way I would be discussing it with the dealer. Too new and too much money not to

Yes.

You have a "key code" for your current key, so they just use that code to order another lock.

Default Roll pins

Not sure on your bike but my 02 did the same thing. I looked really close and noticed one of the roll pins moved outwards enough to keep the barrel key from entering the lock enough to spin and unlock the bag. I grabbed a pick and pushed all the pin ends flush and the key slipped right in. It happened again the next day so I just called Folsom Harley the next day and gave them the # off my key and they ordered a new lock and key that matched my original key so nothing changed! Hope this helps. Kevin.

I wouldn't even play with it, take it back to dealer and let the warranty handle it
