Been thinking about getting a PCIII. Do I need a laptop to set the throttle position?I don't currently have one and am wondering if I need to buy one. If I do it, makes the tmax more attractive.

Nope, but you would need to connect it to a computer somehow. You could setup your comp in the garage for 1/2 an hour, that's way cheaper than buying a laptop. Or, you could even have it dynoed and setup by a pro for way less than the cheapest laptop. Or, you could buy a long USB cable and leave the computer where it is. Or, you could not worry about WOT, how often do you ride at WOT anyway?
I set up a spare computer in the garage for the PCIII and since i have a wireless network........ I'm typing from the garage, right beside the beer fridge. [sm=icon_guiness.gif]I love the PCIII too.
I bought a 15 foot USB cable and with the one supplied i had enough to pull the bike close to the window and was able to work it out. 15 foot is the longest you should use...something about signal strength...this from my I.T. guy at work.
