97 Electra Glide Classic tire replacement

So I need to replace the tires on my 97 EGC. Currently have Dunlop D402 on them.

As I'm looking online at tires I see 190/50/17, 120/70/17...and so on.

How do I know what is the correct size for a 97 EGC. Any help is greatly appreciated.

130/90-16. If you like Dunlops, check out the Elite 3's. Many online tire places allow you to plug in your year/model bike and show the tires available for it.

An alternative designation for the same tyre size is MT, which you may also come across. Most major tyre brands make suitable tyres for your bike, so you have plenty of choice! There are also plenty of tyre discussions in here on which brand to buy.....

I put a Metzler Marathon on my 97. It was wearing well, but the bike was totaled, so I didn't find out actual mileage. It rode well.

if you can find a set of Metzeler 888's ,theyre doing a rebate on em this month, $88 off. i just got a pair for my 06 Street Glide for about $165 from chaparral racing
