The only problem I ever had wiht my carb 03 was my buddies waiting for me to warm up before we could take off.

I wouldn't either. I know carbs, just learning this FI thing.

If it's a real steal, then get the carb. I opted for FI since I didn't want to have to mess with the choke. I hear it can be a real pain in the *** on a very cold day.

waiting to warm up takes a bit longer, but if your going to put pipes and af on it it is much cheaper and no dyno needed to rejet carb.

All of my previous bike, although metric, were carbed. This new fuel injected HD is a hand full. It's expensive to tune, ALL electronic, and just doesn't give me the warm and cozy feelingthat I got with thedependable carbs.

I'm happy with the fuel injection, buy I wouldn't disregard a bike just because it's carbed. If I had a choice today I would rather have my carb back.

The greatest benefit to fuel injection is how much it can be tuned. Although, it may be its greatest drawback.

My .02$ here. Injected is superior all the way around (or is suppose to be). On that note I recently purchased all of the parts to convert my M&M injection to a carb!

My first HD was a 2001 Softail and it was FI. It ran great, I never had any problems with it at all. But I was always wishing it was a carbed HD. So in 2004 I Bought my 04 Carbureted Road King and have never looked back. I wouldn't trade it for any other. Go with the Carb...............

My 06 EG standard has a carb, no problems. Easy to tune, 43 MPG, nice idle. Warmup is not a problem at all.
Everyone should sit and warm up a cold bike for a little while. I don't do it because of the carb, I could ride right off. I do it to wait for the oil to be moving around good. If you take off before the top end has all its oil you will have valve, valve guide problems.
The oil dosn't care if you have a carb or injected.
My .02

Injected is nice, but I'd rether be blown
