No discoloring and it's been over a year and still smooth as silk.
The dealer ordered a new replacement cable (again external damage not to fix my issue)

Should I bring them this can and tell them to lube it when they install? Or have them install, see if it's stiff as hell and if it is have them lube it?

OR just do it myself? Either way I'm ordering this can now....

I would tell them to do it. When I first installed that cable it sucked! Just like you described. I thought maybe I routed it wrong but in the end it just need the lube.

I have experience in this area. Had the exact same problem with mine and could barely use the clutch until I did the above. Now its smoother than the original cable.
I assume it is this one: https://www.walmart.com/ip/CNC-Heavy...&wl13=&veh=sem

I'll get this or the other that was mentioned and do what you and the others have suggested.

My main concern was ruining the look of the cable (discoloration) but the bike is useless with the current clutch tension so function over fashion....

No issues with discoloration on mine. I have the chromemite set up as well.

I just ordered the one you recommended from Amazon, it will arrive Wed. The cable should get to the dealer on Tues or Wed. I'm going to bring the can there and tell them to lube it with this.

I'm happy there is a light at the end of the tunnel here, I appreciate the feedback. Spent a ton of cash on this bike and to take it home and not be able to ride it and be told "that's just how it is" was tough to swallow.

I have another thread about my dyno map issue if you guys want to comment on that... that's a real issue for me too!

It looks like you've got your answer regarding the cable. As far as breaking in the clutch the answer is no. The clutch spring is what it is. It will not get appreciably easier. Hopefully it's the cable as others have said.

Thanks Pete - That's what I thought... I pulled 15 clutches at the dealer and the shop foreman kept saying "Those bikes all have much more miles than your brand new bike, that's why"

The real answer is, most had stock cables and mine has the Magnum. The consensus here so far says no harm in lubing with silicone, I'm waiting for the devil's advocate to show up so I can hear any potential downside.

UPDATE - I got the bike back from the dealer with a new cable, still very stiff.

I'm going to attempt the silicone lubing myself.

Are any special tools needed to remove cable from lever?

Would lubing and then riding it immediately be best as I'll be pulling the lever very often or just pumping the lever in the garage sufficient?

Do i have to remove from the bottom? I assume so since lube may settle at the bottom?
