The best doesn't exist. Seats are just as subjective as oil, audio, pipes, and handlebars. Whether you're solo or 2 up also makes a difference.
Easiest place to start is the demo seats at your dealer. Some vendors (C&C, ultimate) let you buy with a short trial period to return the seat if you don't like it.
I love Corbin, other guys hate em. At least pipes and audio you can listen to a sound clip to get some idea what it will sound like. Unfortunately the only way to figure out seats is to try a few.
I agree with Roadie13, i've been thru quite a few, and i'm on a Corbin now, Best of luck, you can demo a Hammock also, if they still stock em at the dealer
Another Corbin here, for many years! Unfortunately I suspect we will never be able to agree amongst us which single seat is best - comfort is so personal.
I am a fan of The Ultimate for many reasons. I have since stopped buying seats and my wife and I both have Airhawk II's. Comfy, portable, transferable and flippable when parked in the sun. Ride all day We have a 2011 RK with a 2016 Ultra stock seat with the Airhawks.
