Default Load equalizer question

I have searched till I'm blue in the face. I want to install LED turn signals on my 2013 Ultra Limited and some have said I need and others have said that I don't need a load equalizer. So my question is do I need an equalizer for that bike. Thanks in advance.

We put custom dynamics led front and rear lights on my wife's 2013 sg and it DID need a load equalizer. Not sure about Harley brand led's but for custom dynamics it was needed.

Thanks. These are custom dynamics led's I took off my 05 FXST I traded on the Limited, and I have an equalizer, but just not sure I needed one. Now I just have to see if I can remove the turn signal bar without having to remove the back tire so I can install the new light bar with bullet style turn signals. Thanks

...or you can wire in a standard light bulb in the circuit somewhere to give you a hillbilly load equalizer...

Cheesy? Sure. Cheap. Yep. I reckon you could paint the bulb to keep it from looking too bizarre.

if you are just doing one end, either front or back, you can get away without a load equalizer. but, if you do both, you are going to need one.

I purchased my LED bullet front and rear turn signals for my Road King from Custom Dynamics and they required a load equalizer. Very easy install.

The Biketronics EQ is simple plug and play, built to military specs. No separate power wire needed, it's all one plug in. Sweet.

I switch to the Kuryakyn LED front & rear signal lamps and they came with a load equalizer.

I bought the HD led turns for my 11 Ultra and they didn't need an equalizer.
