hey everyone. So my bike had been running great since I had bought it. About a week ago it started bogging Dundee heavier throttle. It doesn't die, it still picks up speed but slowly and you can hear it bogging. I pulled the plugs and they were white. I've done a tuneup on it recently. It also has a slight decel pop but very little. I had got fuel from a different gas station than I normally get it from and also washed the bike (with a hose and soap) and used a leaf blower to dry it off. A couple days later I rode it and that's when I noticed the issue. At first I thought maybe bad gas, but I put my normal fuel in it and no change. Now I'm thinking maybe from the wash? It has a p0151 code which I believe is a rear o2 sensor low voltage but I have read that wouldn't cause any noticeable problems. Any ideas? Thank you in advance for the help
check the plug at the throttle body behind the air cleaner(assuming its electronic ignition)even if its ok put a little dielectric grease on it.running lean would not cause it to bog,it would run hotter and most likely ping alot.
Time for a tear down and rebuild with a 117 cubic inch motor with cams abdomen turbo....lol....in all seriousness, problems like this arise here abc there, something simple and sometimes hard to detect...Might be time to keg the pros diagnose it and you if them fix it and keep riding.
i went ahead and ordered baught 2 new o2 sensors, they are the Bosch 12028 from the local auto parts store. I'll install them sometime today. I did disconnect the tps and cleaned it out with some contact cleaner. I'll pick up som dialectic grease and put that on all the connections
Not sure what type of gas you have there, but go to a tier 1 gas station, and put the highest octane they have. Run some Sea Foam to clean out the injectors. I would also check the fuel filter, maybe time for a new one, since your bike is 10 yrs old. You didn't mention how many miles on the bike?
