If your lowering because your short I can give you some good advice. Go with air ride. Legends 12" air ride to be specific. I ride two up most the time and tried everything on my Road King. 11.5" Progressive shocks(not bad even two up), 11" Bitchen Bagger shocks (terrible ride), diy air ride and different fluid in my 12" stock shocks which road really well actually. Nothing beats being able to adjust the ride on the fly and drop it down in parking lots or backing up. I also had my seat modded by a local shop, that helped a lot. The Legends isn't cheap but it was well worth the money for me. Arnott also make a good air ride and it's less expensive. Hope this helps.

I have a 16 FLHXS with the 2-2a Ohlins shocks from Motorcycle Metal. I was able to lower the bike 1 inch with the sag adjustment from MM. I'm 5'4" tall and it made it easier for me to maneuver the bike. I'm not flat footed but it is better and the bike rides better to boot. I have the Close Corbin Gambler seat on it also.

if you are lowering it because you are height challenged GET AN AIR RIDE

personally I went with the JNR designed kit because YOU DONT have to spend a fortune for a reliable air ride and this way you can lower it for parking lot/traffic conditions and raise it up for the open highway/steady riding conditions..
YES!!! you can have the best of both worlds
