Default Back Break Lights Not working

For some reason my back break lights stopped working. They might work one out of 12 times. Had a guy at a shop add a trickle charger pig tail then next day noticed the break issue. Not sure this is related.

Plan to try and track down the problem.

Do you have any suggestions?

What flavor touring bike (model/year)?
Any recent bar/pedal work (swaps, replacements)?
Front-handle, rear-pedal, or both inop.?

Also, it's "brake" vs. "break." (sorry, detail-OCD in me).

Check the rear harness connector next to the battery. He may have disconnected it to gain access to the battery and didn't get it fully connected when he put things back together.

A number of good simple suggestions already.
I don't see the year mentioned yet, but if the turn signal/brake lamp module has been added, remove it from the circuit and see if original wiring works.

There's 2 switches. Bar and peddle. If neither are working check the wiring from under the seat back to the tail light
