I have a 2017 Fatboy. Just took the seat, pillion, back rest pad, and tank bib to cj seats in Valrico FL. yesterday. Their website is www.makeyourbuttsmile.com I'm having the seat reworked to sit a little further back and also having the pillion reworked for the wife. They will put in jell pads under all the seating areas. They are going to recover everything mentioned above with a tan vinyl. The cost is $540. I got a price from the Ultimate Seat and they were around $1200. It's not cheap but not as expensive as buying a whole new set up.
Looking to pick up a new seat for my '17 RGS as the stock seat just isn't cutting it. In the past I ran the Mustang Super Touring on my Ultra and liked it. With the Special I am wanting something a little more streamlined but still nice and comfy. We do lots of riding and 800-1000 miles days are always a possibility when we're running to get someplace.
I've been looking at the Le Pera Mavrick, C&C Sport Tour and Tour Special, Saddleman Road Sofa and Corbin. My wife rides her own now so I'm almost always alone. One of my kids will occasionally climb on for a short ride. My main concern is comfort and fit. I'd like to sit back an inch or so from stock, keeping the same height would be fine.
For those that have used these seats, what can you tell me? Suggestions on other seats would be appreciated as well, although I'm not too interested in HD Hammocks or any other HD seat. I would also prefer a 1pc seat, but could be swayed for a solo provided the comfort was there and the pillion is nice a rider comfy as well and must secure well to the bike.
Thanks in advance.....

I just picked up my recovered seat a few hours ago and just finished installing it. I had the stock seat redone, installed jell pads, cut back about an inch, had the pillion reshaped and jell pad added, new tank bib, and recovered the passenger back rest pad. I got the color idea from Mr. Softy. Here's my assessment of it. First they discontinued the color I picked out so it ended up two shades off. Not the worst but I did like Mr. Softy's color better. The workmanship is OK but since it is all hand stitched it's not as perfect as being done by a factory machine. The fit is better for me than stock but haven't ridden it yet to know about the long ride comfort. The jury is still out on whether I like the color better than the black or not.

My thinking after the searching I'm doing is that the Road Sofa is too big of a look to still be streamlined, if that makes any sense. The dominator looks interesting, but for me, being moved an inch or 2 back is a must, along with the backrest.
Mean City Cycles!
I'm sure someone is going to suggest Mean City Cycles! They can mod your seast to your specs a lot cheaper than a new seat.

Russell Day Long. My bro was an avid iron butt rider and swore by his. Truly custom made from your measurements. It's on my wish list for my Goldwing and I am considering one for my 2012 SG as well. They are not cheap but they guarantee the fit and will make it right if you're not happy
