So in searching locally for a road glide, I found something nearby. It's a 2012 with 21k miles which they're asking 9900 for. The kicker, it is missing it's hard bags. The selling point, I already own a pair of rushmore hard bags and a tourpak. Is there anything huge on later models that I should need to pass this up?
I'd be very, very careful considering that bike. It sounds like it's either been mistreated or a project was started and abandoned. It's possible you could strike an advantageous deal but it will require a very close inspection and an understanding of what you want and what may have to be done.
There are garage queens out there for good prices and your bags will sell.

The more I look at it, the more it appears to have gone through the ringer. Will definitely proceed with caution. But if I could get it for 5-7k, might be worth the project.
Last question. I read that there are methods to make the rushmore bags fit on the pre-rushmore brackets. I am not worried there. Can the rushmore stock support brackets (I have them as well) bolt right up to the pre-rushmore fender? Looks like it will, but hard to say for sure.

frame is essentially the same except for the front end
Check the Bike out very carefully, give it a good once over from top to bottom.
Fiend out all that has been done to the Bike, like a Stage-I, and what missing from it.
